Rare Vintage 1960s/70s Psychedelic Floral Plissé Fabric – Hard to find 7 Yard Continuous Cut!
Up for sale is a jaw-dropping, vibrant piece of deadstock textile history from the late 1960s or early 1970s. This true vintage fabric features an explosion of oversized psychedelic tropical flowers in a high-voltage colorway of bright pink, chartreuse green, bright orange, and lighter pink and white accents, beautifully printed selvage to selvage.
This piece is a lightweight, crisp 100% cotton plissé featuring a beautiful permanent crinkle texture. It has a very subtle, gorgeous polished/glazed finish that catches the light beautifully without being overly shiny.
Finding an uncut 7-yard continuous run of deadstock material from this era in pristine condition is extraordinarily rare. Because it is a lightweight, breathable crinkle cotton, it has a phenomenal drape that is absolutely perfect for airy garments like vintage tiered peasant skirts, bohemian summer maxi dresses, or retro resort wear. The fabric would also be ideal for interior light filtering drapery. I’ve shown the fabric against a window to show it is lightly sheer.
