🔱 From the World’s Premier Guy Harvey Collection: The 1st Run Flagship Grail 🔱
This investment-grade piece comes directly from the largest private Guy Harvey collection in the world. As a personal acquaintance of Dr. Harvey from his early South Florida days—long before global fame—this collection was built on firsthand history and a deep, personal knowledge of his early marine art rollouts.
The Historical Rarity (First Release Year Variant):This piece represents the absolute pinnacle of the series: a true 1st Run production piece. While standard entries in this debut series (such as the Largemouth Bass and Dolphin) launched on standard chrome bases at a retail price of $29.95, this iconic Great White Shark graphic was selected for Zippo's premium, mirrored, smoky Black Ice PVD finish.
As verified by the original factory pricing sticker still attached to the packaging, this flagship variant commanded a premium retail price of $33.95 from day one. Featuring the highly coveted August 2002 (H 02) factory bottom stamp, this is one of the earliest premium PVD variants ever pressed.
An Important Note on Value:
This listing is explicitly tailored for serious marine art enthusiasts, bookend collectors (1st Run / Last Run completionists), and Zippo historians who understand the true scarcity of first-year premium variants. If you are looking for a common duplicate or a bargain-bin modern reproduction, this is not the listing for you. This is an untouched historical artifact from the dawn of Guy Harvey's global legacy.
