ABOUT THIS SIGN
A Rat Fink monster riding a rigid-frame chopper through red-rock desert while a second rat chases him on horseback - a collaboration design bringing together the two names that defined the look of American hot-rod and biker art: Ed \'Big Daddy\' Roth, who created Rat Fink, and David Mann, whose centrefolds ran in Easyriders for three decades. Mann collectors and Kustom Kulture collectors are two separate crowds and this sits in front of both. Note that the signatures are part of the printed artwork on the face, not hand-signed autographs.
Marked on the face: \"Ghost Rider\", a Rat Fink character astride a chopper in the desert with a second rat on horseback, both artists\' signatures in the artwork, and \"Made in U.S.A.\" on the lower rim.
Size: approximately 12\" in diameter (305 mm), measured by the seller.
CONDITION
Judge the condition from the photographs - the sign is shown from every angle, including the reverse and the mounting holes, and nothing is cropped out. On porcelain of this age, fine specking in the enamel, small chips at the edges and wear around the mounting holes are normal and are not faults. After decades of age and storage a sign may also sit slightly warped or a little bent rather than perfectly flat - it still hangs and displays fine, and you will not notice it once it is on a wall. This one is not cracked and has not been restored, repainted or touched up. Want a close-up of a particular area, or an exact measurement, before you buy? Message us and we will take it the same day.
