This is a vintage commemorative US Forest Service California Ranger genuine porcelain sign and it is in excellent condition, just as it had when originally manufactured. STILL has a nice glossy shine as it is actual porcelain. A true collectible piece that displays beautifully.
This commemorates the very first issue of the California Rangers magazine which was published by the US Forest Service on December 5, 1930 in San Francisco!
Minor chips in the outer field, as well as some moderate rusting around the mounting holes, as is to be expected from being displayed outside and hanging in the elements. Really, beautiful layers of porcelain.
It is USED and was hanging being displayed outside.
Feel free to zoom in and check out all of the photographs for you, they are the best description of the exact sign.
