Up for sale is a vintage commemorative pocket knife celebrating the University of Tennessee Volunteers’ 1990 SEC Championship.
Details:
• Officially licensed University of Tennessee product
• Cream/white handle with orange “UT VOLS SEC CHAMPIONS 1990” graphics and SEC logo
• Numbered 331 on the bolster
• Comes in the original matching presentation box with black velvet insert
• Single-blade folding knife
Historical note:
In 1990, Johnny Majors’ Volunteers finished 9-2-2 and were awarded the SEC Championship (Florida was ineligible due to NCAA probation). The team went on to win the Sugar Bowl over Virginia 23-22.
Condition:
Excellent overall. Knife appears unused with clean blade and graphics. Box shows some light storage wear consistent with age (minor marks/scuffs on the exterior). The knife sits nicely in its original foam/velvet tray.
This is a nice piece of Tennessee football memorabilia from a championship season. Great for Vols collectors or anyone who likes vintage sports commemorative knives.
