This is a brand new in original packaging set of Sur La Table placemats. They still have cellophane on them HOWEVER, there are a couple places on the front of the box where the plastic wrap is torn. I tried to show pictures but it was difficult. The interior area where the opened cellophane is shows no signs of wear, cuts or scratches on the beautiful placemat inside the packaging.
That said these are beautiful tropical themed placemats that are 15.5\" x11.5\" and have a wipeable surface and a cork back. They feature palm leaves and pretty pink flowers. The pattern is called Cabana. The package contains 4 placemats. Please note these will handle hot plates and are heat resistant - HOWEVER they are NOT to be used as hot plates for hot pans or items out of the oven as the coating that makes them wipeable will melt if it is met with something oven hot or right out of a heated dry cycle on the dishwasher. They should be wiped down and surface washed only. All the details are on the box, but just wanted to share so no one is disappointed.
These are sturdy, pretty and come for a very reputable and high end brand.
Happy Shopping!
