I just received a shipment from Guerrero with lots of Coconut masks and Coconut figures .... This figure is a Sun Moon Face Man wearing acolorful Suit with a Bird of Paradise painted on it. This piece has been distressed to make it look old, but in factis a newly made piece. Each figure begins with 1/2 a dried coconut shell for the head and a Canvas body. A gesso like coating is applied to the surface and then hand painted. There is a hole at the top of eachso you can string some twine and hang it on the wall. They are lots of fun and quite whimsical. Perfect for the collector of Mexican Folk Art.... I will be listing more of these figures soon, so check out my store for a larger selection.
He measures; 15 1/2 inches tall by 10 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches deep.
