Here, I'm very pleased to offer this lot of vintage embroidered tea towels or dish towels.
Each features the outline of a woman in a full dress, her face obscured by a bonnet, performing a household task -- one per day of the week.
There's "Church on Sunday," and she is depicted walking with a church in the distance; "Iron on Tuesday," and she is seen at an ironing board; "Mend on Wednesday," and she is seen hard at work with needle and thread; "Bake on Friday," and she is carrying a cake; and "Dust on Saturday" and she is seen dusting a lamp with a feather duster.
Missing are the towels for Monday and Thursday. They are not included, unfortunately.
Each towel is roughly square when unfolded, approximately 24 inches by 25 inches. Each is a sheer muslin sort of cotton with cotton thread.
And, as shown, many have spots from years of use. These could potentially be removed -- but no guarantees. I have not tried to remove them.
These will be well-packaged and securely shipped. Thank you very much for looking.
