Thisis a good miniature from this important find of scorodite. Thisspecimen is a mass of scorodite crystals with the largest crystalmeasuring 4 mm on edge. The color is typical of the specimens fromthis find. Almost black in appearance; strong lighting revealscrystals and areas that reveal the inky blue color of scorodite.
Mostof the specimens from Hezhou have almost equal amounts of pyriteassociated with the scorodite and this is one of those. The specimenis off matrix and has great sparkling luster all around.
