Retired, vintage children's double-handled enamel mug manufactured by MacKenzie-Childs. Designed explicitly as a training or toddler cup, the dual handles help small children grip the mug securely, while the enamel-coated metal offers excellent durability against drops compared to standard ceramics. One side showcases a hand-painted watercolor bird illustration while the other side features a different illustration of a whimsical orange and yellow fish paired with soft pastel blue, grey, and yellow geometric borders. The inside bottom of the mug features a hidden watercolor illustration of a painted acorn, complete with the textured orange/brown cap and a lighter yellow nut body. This is a classic signature detail of vintage MacKenzie-Childs children's enamelware. As a child drinks their beverage, the artwork gradually reveals itself at the bottom of the cup. The handles also show a clear view of the hand-painted, alternating orange stripes running down their lengths. Constructed with a hand glazed heavy gauge steel underbody covered in enamel, wrapped with a bronzed stainless steel rim. Because it features a metal core under the enamel glaze, do not place this mug in the microwave.Measures approximately 2.75 inches tall.
