Rare vintage Canon A-1 camera-shaped copper coin bank featuring detailed molded styling based on the classic Canon A-1 35mm SLR film camera. This piece has Canon branding, A-1 front markings, molded lens details, Japanese text on the back, and a coin slot, making it a standout display item for Canon collectors, vintage camera collectors, photography memorabilia buyers, and collectors of unusual Japanese promotional pieces.
This appears to be an uncommon older Canon A-1 novelty, promotional, or commemorative coin bank. The copper construction and aged green patina make it much more visually interesting than a standard plastic camera bank, and the scarcity of available information or sales history suggests this is not a commonly seen piece. Exact manufacturer, production date, and original distribution history are unknown.
This item is being sold strictly as a collectible coin bank/display piece and is not a working camera or lens. Condition is used vintage with visible oxidation, patina, scuffs, discoloration, surface marks, and general age-related wear. No box, paperwork, or accessories are included. Please review all photos carefully, as the buyer will receive the exact Canon A-1 copper coin bank shown.
