Original Rare Autonetics Apollo Controller-Lunar Docking Events A18A Data Plate
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, authentic vintage identification data plate for an Apollo Command/Service Module (CSM) Sequential Events Control Subsystem (SECS) component. This specific plate is for the Controller-Lunar Docking Events (A18A), an essential instrument manufactured during the height of the space race.
The Lunar Docking Events Controller (LDEC) worked alongside the Lunar Module Separation Sequence Controller to sequence critical pyro squibs. It was responsible for the automated physical separation sequences during Lunar Module docking, adapter extraction, and eventual jettison sequences from the Command Module.
This metal ID plate is in excellent vintage condition with sharp, clear text markings. Perfect for display in any high-end space exploration or NASA historical memorabilia collection.
