\"The stamp is a \"Republica de Panama\" issue overprinted with \"CANAL ZONE.\" This specific \"Un Centesimo de Balboa\" (1 cent) green stamp featuring Vasco Núñez de Balboa was in use between 1909 and 1924 under the \"Taft Agreement\". After July 1924, these were replaced by overprinted U.S. stamps.\"
