Super Rare Vintage U.S. Army 68th Company Coast Artillery Corps 29\" Felt Pennant
This pennant likely belonged to the 68th Coast Artillery Corps (CAC), a unit of the United States Army with a history that includes service in World War I. The pennant\'s design, including the eagle crest and the text \'Army\' is similar to other vintage military pennants and crests. The 68th refers to a specific regiment. The letters I.F.M. likely refers to a specific organization within that regiment. The C.A.C. was a corps-level organization responsible for coastal and harbor defense from 1901 to 1950. During World War I, it also operated heavy and railway artillery. The 68th Artillery, C.A.C. was organized in June 1918.
Condition: Pennant does show some wear including some small holes. All the lettering and the emblem is stitched onto the pennant. The stitching is all still in good condition. There is some fading on the eagle emblem and some dust/dirt/staining throughout. There is at least one missing string on the side and one is barely attached. Please look at all photos for these details.
