RARE Vintage 1956 Napco Anthropomorphic Fruit Sports Salt & Pepper Shakers Set 1C1930 - Apple Baseball Player & Banana Boxer - Mid-Century Kitsch Japan
Up for sale is an incredibly rare, highly sought-after vintage 1956 anthropomorphic salt and pepper shaker set by Napco (National Potteries Co.). Part of a hard-to-find sports-themed series, this delightful duo features:
- The Apple Baseball Batter (Pepper Shaker): Outfitted in a vintage pinstripe baseball uniform, holding up a bat. Stamped with a "P" on the hip.
- The Banana Boxer (Salt Shaker): Sporting a mischievous face, red boxing trunks, and dark boxing gloves. Stamped with an "S" on the leg.
Markings & Authenticity:
Both pieces feature their authentic underside stamps, including the © NAPCO 1956 copyright and the rare matching item model number 1C1930. Both shakers still contain their original organic cork stoppers (the apple's cork has a minor age fracture but remains intact).Condition:
Excellent vintage condition! The cold-paint details and glaze colors are exceptionally vibrant and bright.
