This is a highly collectible, late-era Frederick Post 1461 Versalog II Pocket Slide Rule (5-Inch). Introduced around 1968, the Versalog II variant is significantly less common than earlier versions due to a brief production window right before the dawn of electronic calculators. This pocket-sized model features the updated scale configuration, including the added A scale.
Condition Details
- Slide Rule: In vintage condition, though a small hole appears to have been drilled into the bottom stator. The scales are crisp, highly legible, and beautifully preserved. The body is structurally sound with no cracks, deep gouges, or warping. The cursor glides smoothly along the frame. It is priced appropriately.
- Leather Case: Includes its original heavy-duty leather pocket case with integrated pocket clip. The leather is supple with strong stitching and shows beautiful but does show wear typically found after 6 decades.
