SENSATIONAL ,RARE,  gorgeous fluorescent fluorite and quartz from The Rock Candy Mine ,27 km North of Grand Forks, British Columbia ,Canada.

This mine is now CLOSED.

The specimen is beautiful naturally ( photos 1-10).

Under long wave UV light ( photos 12-13 ) the fluorite displays a beautiful blue fluorescence . There are also spots of green fluorescence.

Under SW ( photos 14-16) the  fluorescence of the fluorite is a different shade of blue. One of the vugs ( geode cavities) also displays an orange fluorescence! As with LW, there is also some green fluorescence.

Short wave photos taken with with Super Bright lamp, LW with Way Too Cool 36 watt lamp.

This is an uncommon, all around really cool and interesting specimen!!!

Please note special UV light /lamps mandatory to visualize the fluorescence. The stronger the lamp, the brighter the fluorescence!

Photos taken with my i Phone  :-)
