This is a set of rare and hard to find antique Venetian yellow fancylampwork mandrel beads with trail decorated stripes which were handcrafted in Italy and traded into Africa long ago where they were used as tribal adornment and trade currency in the African trade. Sometimes this Venetian bead design is referred to as trumpet beads or horn beads but I prefer the term hammerheadbeads. This antique Italian made African trade bead set is ingreat condition with a few very slight pits and one hammerhead bead's tail has a super small ding.The largest hammerhead bead of the set measures 6mm long by 12mm wide. These beads have been in my personal collection for a very long time.
