RARE Antique TRICENIUM Christianity WALL ART Framed LENTICULAR 3 VIEWS Jesus Mary
Frame size 10.75" x 8.5" x 1.75" deep. Actual artwork displayed inside of glass is 8.5" x 6"
These are incredibly RARE, and were made circa 1900. 'Tricenium' means 'three views' - and there are 3 entirely different artworks inside this one frame.
There are vertical strips [which are stationary and do not move] set on top of a 3-D molded piece of Art featuring a Madonna holding baby Jesus in an icon-style pose. This is known as OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP. The mold is made of [early] celluloid, and it is a rich antiqued metallic-gold color.
The strips have an image printed on each side-
When you are standing directly in front of the piece, you see the Madonna icon. From the left side, you see the artwork of Jesus and the Sacred Heart. From the right side, you see Mary and the Sacred Heart.
An amazing and highly unique presentation... very special.
The icon is molded so that it is dimensional, with lithographs of the faces glued on, and silver glitter glued to the crowns and clothing.
Inset glass with a BEAUTIFUL frame- frame has several levels of molding, and hand painted tortoiseshell- look coloration.
Difficult to find. Very collectible.
Excellent condition- no nicks, chips, cracks. scratches, or damage of any kind. There are NO scratches or damage of any kind to the glass or prints- images are unfaded and still have rich deep colors. No loose or warped strips. Cardboard back has a black tape surround on the backing. Hanger attached- ready to hang.
This is a beautiful piece, great for display and hanging on any wall. It can also be displayed on a table, desk, shelf etc using a plate stand
Nice for a collector. Very pretty and unique. A real conversation piece.
