Late 1800s Victorian Antique Blue & White Patchwork Quilt Top…Monkey Wrench/ Churn Dash Pattern Quilt TOP measures appx. 72 x 72… I am no expert, but here is my opinion based on my observations and limited knowledge: The blocks are hand pieced, while the border is machine stitched… I believe this to be made of Victorian era cotton, blue indigo dyed calico prints; look closely, and you will see three different blue prints within the quilt, which I feel are roller prints of the era. Within the blocks, you will see a red and white striped gauze like, cotton fabric. The red is printed onto the white.Please observe all photos closely as I have shown front and back, construction, and defects to the best of my abilities. The fabrics and construction are still very sturdy and stable. There are some short loose seams. I only observed one small spot with loss of blue dye, creating a white spot. These are shown in a photos. I did not observe any other defects or damage to this quilt. It has been gently cleaned by me and is free of odors. It comes from a clean, smoke free, pet free, odor free environment.I ship within three days.
