This is an original, United States military issue M1937 enlisted men's leather dress garrison belt. The underside of the leather flap behind the buckle features exceptionally clear, crisp stamped markings reading U.S., J.Q.M.D. 1937, along with the inspector or manufacturer initials J.B. and J.W. These markings identify the belt as a pre-World War II production piece issued by the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot in Indiana. The belt is constructed from heavy brown russet bridle leather and measures 1.75 inches wide. It features its original single prong solid brass frame buckle. The end tip of the belt strap is clearly stamped with the size number 34. This pattern was standard issue for the enlisted dress uniform leading into the World War II conflict.Shipping Details
