Sent in December 1899 from Nuremberg to the village of Tweende, this glorious multi-vignette lithograph opens with the soaring twin spires of St. Lorenz Church on the left, the broad Renaissance façade of the Rathaus (City Hall) at center, and the round Heidenturm silhouetted in a copper-tinted medallion at upper right — all wreathed in delicate pink blossoms and united by the gilded script "Gruss aus Nürnberg." The card was written by a sender whose old German cursive spills across the picture side (undivided back era), addressed to a recipient in Tweende near Göttingen, and bears a receiving postmark dated 16 December 1899, making it a charming artifact of the Gruss aus golden age. Published by Warenhaus R. Schwoller & Co., Nuremberg, the chromolithography is vivid and largely unfaded after 125 years.
