A striking matching pair of bottle-form glass vases, possibly Chinese, featuring cobalt-blue overlay against an opaque white ground. Deep oval cuts expose the white beneath, with polished curved edges giving the rounded bodies a sculptural, faceted appearance. Broad shoulder panels alternate with elongated cuts below, complemented by slender white necks, cobalt-edged mouths and dark circular feet.The layered construction and geometric cutting are consistent with examples of Peking overlay glass.
