Pair of Vintage Chinese Buddhist Rubbing Prints – Pacific Geographic Society / Barker Bros. Los Angeles

This listing is for TWO framed vintage Chinese Buddhist rubbing prints depicting two of the Eighteen Lo-han (Arhats), disciples of the Buddha.

The first depicts Pindola (Pin-tu-lo-Po-lo-to-she).
The second depicts Ka-No-Ka Fa-Ts’o.

The reverse includes an old framing label from the historic Barker Bros. department store in Los Angeles and a distribution note from the Pacific Geographic Society, Los Angeles.

These are vintage rubbing-print reproductions based on ancient Chinese Buddhist stone carvings. They are printed on specialty paper and framed as a matching pair.
