This is an 1964 Olivetti Studio 44 portable manual typewriter, badged as Olivetti-Underwood for the US market, made at the Olivetti plant in Barcelona, Spain. Serial number 428515.
The machine types cleanly and all keys function. It has been cleaned and fitted with a fresh black and red ribbon on metal spools. The platen, carriage return, and margin stops all operate correctly.
The body is in the original teal color with dark gray keys and a single red accent key. Overall paint is in good shape for its age. There is a blue ink scribble mark on the right side panel, visible in the photos. There are minor surface scuffs consistent with age and use.
The original hard-shell carrying case is included. The case shows age-related wear including some staining and soiling to the interior lining, but it closes and latches securely.
