This is an original WWI US Army M1910 cartridge belt, featuring a 10-pocket ammo pouch configuration from circa 1918. This collectible item represents the WW I militaria theme and is a piece of United States history from the early 20th century. It is a genuine, original item exactly like what was used by soldiers during World War I, showcasing the craftsmanship and design of the era. This piece is a valuable addition to any military memorabilia collection from that era, offering a tangible connection to the past and the armed forces of the United States during WWI.
This particular belt is an original piece of individual infantry soldier\'s basic equipment. It has 10 snap pockets that were used to carry clips of .30-06 ammunition for the M1903 Springfield Rifle or the M1917 US Enfield Rifle in the field.
This belt is in very good-looking condition, HOWEVER, it is over 100 years old and is in fact fragile.
It would make an excellent addition to a stationary display depicting WWI-era equipment. I would not recommend purchasing this item if your looking for a belt to actually wear and use in the field.
* Please note the two pictures above that clearly show 2 canvas pouches have tears near the snap\'s base. When the pouch flaps are in place, the tears can\'t be seen.
