This Native American necklace is a 3 strand carved shell Bird Fetish, strung with thin white shell heishi and small bright red branch coral beads. Itis 33 inches long with a hanging length of 16 1/2 inches.The birds are carved from brown, tan and white olive shells. The heishi are 2.3 millimeters thick and made from white shell. This necklace has no clasp but a "Squaw Wrap closure; it is long enough to easily fit over the head.The necklaceweighs approximately 79 grams.
There are 116 fetish birds ranging from 16 to 22 mm long,and 113 small red branch coral beads. The shell fetish birds are white, tan and brown.
