Historical Context
During the late 1970s and early 1980s, major pizza chains like Godfather’s Pizza and classic family diners partnered heavily with Coca-Cola for table-side beverage service. Anchor Hocking produced these exact rugged, hard-paneled white pitchers to serve as durable, high-visibility marketing pieces. Finding even a single surviving example with a crisp, undamaged red label is difficult today because most were discarded or ruined by heavy commercial scrubbing. Finding a pristine cache of unissued inventory like this is virtually unheard of.
