WORKING NORTHERN ELECTRIC MIDGE RADIO MODEL 5708.
Manufactured by Northern Electric Co. In Montreal/ Belleville Canada in 1953.
This is a 5 vacuum tube tabletop AM broadcast receiver. It receives all local and nearby radio broadcasts across the dial. There is an internal loop antenna which provides strong reception. An external connection as well can be used for an antenna connection or ground.
The bakelite cabinet is in very nice condition. A crack on both sides have been repaired. The radio has been painted, not professional but looks very nice and is very presentable.
The dial and tuning knob are also bakelite and work great.
The cabinet has a double bullseye speaker grille adding to the beautiful design of this radio.
The tubes have been checked and any weak ones replaced. Main electrolytic capacitors have been changed.
This radio is being offered for sale in as in condition and working.
