NICE Antique 1920s-30s Metal 3-Leg MILKING STOOL Primitive Heavy STEEL Well MADE
Here is a super nice looking 3 leg milking stool/industrial salvage piece. Solidly made all metal heavy pressed steel construction.
This piece is very very sturdy, great to use as a footstool.
Construction clues indicate the 1920s or 30s as the legs and center bracket are fastened together using heavy rivets. The metal parts are also noticeably heavier than a newer stool.
Measures about 12 inches tall, seat diameter is 9 inches, pretty heavy too - weighs about 4-1/2 pounds.
Possible Starline brand but is not marked.
This is a classic piece of American agricultural history, prized by primitive and farmhouse style collectors in beautiful original condition, paint is overall very good.
This stool has beautiful, honest age, features an excellent dark rustic metal patina without modern spray paint or slick restorations.
Much of the original factory paint is still visible on the top surface of the seat.
Still very sturdy, all metal joints and the tripod legs are solid and stable. It has simply been lightly dusted off to maintain its true historic character.
