Very nice mint Marbles Gladstone USA Plainsman With Jigged Bone Handles Fixed Blade Knife With Leather Sheath. This is a nice mint & rare Plainsman Marbles knife.
This Marbles knife has a stainless steel blade. This knife measures 8 1/2" overall and the blade measures 4". The finger guard is polished brass. The butt is polished aluminum.
This knife includes a black Marble's Pouch that is lined with black velvet & has a Marble's orange logo.
The handle has red, brass, white, and black spacers on both ends of the handle.Marble's Knives (Marble Arms & Manufacturing Company) ceased manufacturing knives in theearly 2000's(roughly 2001-2004) following financial difficulties, with one source indicating a key production shift or exit happened around August 2001.
The original company stopped making knives in 1979, resumed in 1997, and ceased production again in the early 2000s, leading to the brand being sold. Some were made at the factory in Gladstone. George Brinkley, President Marbles, had the later ones made at the Blackjack factory in Effingham, IL.
The knife features nice jigged bone handles. The knife comes in the factory Marbles box with a leathersheet. The knife also comes with the factory leather sheath.
It is truly a very nice Marble's Knife. The knife will be packaged very carefully when it is shipped to the lucky new owner.
