This is a Museum piece. A scalloped spider motif palette from the Mississippian period.
Found in Georgia. Made out of a fine grained brownish hardstone. Almost a Kidney or Liver color.
Fabulous spider inscribed on one side, within a circle. McAdams Style.
The other side is slight incurvate with inscribed line about 1/4" in from scalloped edge, two additional
encircling lines 3/16" apart.
An awesome piece of Mississippian art, for the serious collector.
6 3/4 " across, 7/8" thick. Perfect condition.
