These postcards are mostly addressed to members of the Nichols family in Middleton, Ohio. Postmarks indicate they were sent between 1909 and 1924. Great handwriting samples throughout.
Three cards have writing but no stamps, and one of these is dated 1928.
One card (the yellow birthday card with Chinese lantern illustration) is unused.
One card is a photograph (\"taken in one of the parks,\" whatever that means) of a young lady resplendent in park foliage and about 7000 yards of white dress.
Eight of the cards are embossed, and one of the embossed cards is a signed Ellen Clapsaddle. The Clapsaddle card is an Easter greeting with a pretty lady in a blue dress. This illustration has been weirdly embellished with some sort of flocking.
All postcards are 5.5\" x 3.5\" with the exception of the heavily embossed birthday card with pink flowers, which is just a skoosh longer.
Also included, just for gits and shiggles, is a very damaged old photograph (I have no idea what type of photo it is) of a very composed baby and his disturbingly intense older brother decked out in his best Future Circus Ringmaster regalia.
Let me know if you have any questions because I\'m still trying to figure out why the h**l \"topographical\" is used to describe postcards with images on them...
Shipping is included in the price.
Thanks for looking and for reading this HUMAN-GENERATED description!
