Large vintage movie publicity photograph collection being sold complete as one lot.Approximately 80+ original/vintage movie publicity, press and promotional photographs, primarily dating from the late 1950s through the 1970s. The collection has been kept together in a large binder and includes a fascinating mixture of black-and-white and color material from numerous films and studios.Identified material includes Walt Disney Productions, Warner Bros., Avco Embassy and other studio/distributor releases. Films represented include The Yakuza, The Three Musketeers, Blackbeard’s Ghost, Too Much, Too Soon, Rider on the Rain, Promise at Dawn, The Midnight Man and others. The collection contains several different forms of period publicity material. Some photographs have movie titles and studio information printed directly on the borders, while others have original typed publicity/caption sheets attached to the reverse. There are also uncaptioned photographs and pieces with handwritten crop/reproduction/editorial notes, suggesting at least part of the collection may have been used as working press or publicity material. There is a nice variety of subject matter including actors, movie scenes, action sequences, automobiles, animals, outdoor scenes and promotional imagery.Condition varies throughout. These were working/handled photographs rather than a pristine archival set. Expect normal age-related wear, handling, edge/corner wear, occasional writing, attached labels, toning and other imperfections. Please examine the photographs carefully for representative condition.I have not attempted to individually authenticate, grade or identify every photograph, and the collection is being offered as found and as one complete lot. No individual pieces have been removed. An unusual collection for a vintage Hollywood/movie memorabilia collector, dealer, researcher or collector of original studio publicity photography. You will receive the complete collection/binder shown in the photographs.
