Lot 6 decks Antique c1920s Playing Cards, Bicycle Bridge 86, Standard PCC, 52/52
All decks counted and sorted, 52/52, overall very good condition
Included in the lot are 2 decks of Bicycle Bridge No. 86 French Size, 2 decks of Bicycle Bridge No. 86, and 2 decks of Standard Playing Card Co decks with gilded edges. No boxes, no jokers.
The Standard PCC decks are in great shape, near 100% gold gilding still on the edges (so shiny!). A few cards in each deck do have noticeable scratches on the card backs. Reflective gold ink on the card backs. Date code of \"H\" on the Aces of Spades dates these two decks to 1926.
The two Bicycle Bridge No. 86 (Whist) French Size decks are the earliest version of the Bicycle Bridge No. 86 line. Codes on the Aces of Spades indicate 1921 and 1923. Back designs are Rider Back and Lace back. The Lace back has a few creased cards.
The other two Bicycle Bridge No. 86 decks are from 1926, This Brocade back design was only made for a few years and is more difficult to come by.
All Bicycle decks were made at the Russell & Morgan Factories.
