*Magnificent 33.5\" Large British Crystal Banquet Oil Lamp (Circa 1934–1935)**Up for sale is a stunning, beautifully proportioned transitional Edwardian-Revival banquet lamp. Standing an impressive 33.5 inches tall to the top of the chimney, this heavy cut-glass pillar lamp makes a phenomenal statement piece.### Key Features & Authenticity:
* **The Burner:** Authentic British Duplex double flat-wick burner. The winder knobs are clearly stamped \"BRITISH MADE\" and the assembly features a functioning mechanical wick extinguisher lever.
* **The Base & History:** The underside of the heavy diamond-cut base features the original metal plate stamped \"PAT. APP. FOR № 414562\", dating its design securely to the mid-1930s.
* **Transitional Wireway:** The base features a factory-finished \"cord notch\" or wireway. This was engineered to allow the lamp to be easily converted to electricity without wobbling on its cord, making it highly versatile for modern homes.
* **Shade & Chimney:** Includes its beautiful textured glass tulip/bulbous shade and clear inner chimney.### Condition Report (Please Read Carefully):
This lamp is an authentic vintage piece with nearly a century of history. It has two specific character notes that have been fully factored into the pricing and photographed clearly:1. **The Font Blister (Manufacturing Fault):** There is an open surface blister/air bubble blowout on the glass font. This occurred during the original mold-blowing process when the glass was molten. It is completely smooth-edged, structurally stable, and will never spread, cant be seen on display .
2. **Column Join Chip:** There is a clean, localized shell-shaped chip at the very top rim of the crystal column where it meets the lower brass collar. There are NO radiating hairline cracks or structural instability. It can easily be rotated to the back for display.Because of the thinness near the factory blister, this lamp is being sold strictly as a decorative heirloom, display piece, or as an ideal candidate for safe electrical wiring utilizing its built-in base notch.### Dimensions:**
* Height to top of chimney: 33.5 inches (approx. 85 cm).
