This is a hand-painted wood carving fish in Mexican Oaxacan folk art. The piece features vibrant, detailed painted patterns and a sculptural carved form, making it a striking decorative object for collectors of folk art or hand-crafted decor.
The carving is unsigned, and the exact type of wood is unknown. It appears to be a one-of-a-kind artisan piece, not mass-produced, with hand-applied paint and carved details throughout. The style is consistent with traditional Oaxacan-inspired folk art.
Please note there is visible wear consistent with age and display, including light paint wear and surface marks. This adds character and should be expected with handmade folk art pieces. See photos for full condition details.
