NEW Jonathan Adler Pot A Porter Green Fish Ceramic Dish Handmade in Peru Net-A-Porter
**Note: the 2 photos featuring the dish against the light powder blue fabric show its true color most accurately**
I purchased this around 1999-2000 from a family friend’s boutique, Alphabets; a once beloved and eclectic gift & home decor boutique in NYC’s Lower East Side. The owner was an early friend and champion of Jonathan Adler and always showcased his work.
This dish is brand new, unused, and has been safely stored in its original Alphabets gift box. After moving, it was tucked away and forgotten until I recently started downsizing. While I’m reluctant to part with such a special piece now that I’ve rediscovered it, I’m excited for it to find a home with a collector who will truly appreciate it.
Condition: New (Unused). Please note, the Alphabets box I’ll include with the dish is a little beat up with some marks on the white box and the store logo sticker which was torn. However, the dish is in its original new condition.
The "Pot a Porter" Collection: In 1998, after his initial success selling pottery to Barneys New York, Jonathan Adler expanded production by partnering with an artisan workshop in Peru to produce hand-molded Peruvian pottery. This line was branded as "Pot a Porter" (a play on Prêt-à-Porter, or ready-to-wear fashion).
