Vintage Johnny Weissmuller / Tarzan 51-Piece Photograph & Publicity Collection
Offered here is an unusual 51-piece vintage photographic collection centered around Johnny Weissmuller, Tarzan and related film/publicity material.
The collection includes a wide assortment of black-and-white photographs and promotional imagery featuring Johnny Weissmuller and material connected with Tarzan, Jane, Boy, Jungle Jim and other productions from Weissmuller’s career.
Several pieces have particularly interesting period-style characteristics, including studio or distribution markings, production/still numbers, printed identification captions and attached typed publicity/caption material. One photograph is visibly identified along the border as Tarzan’s Triumphs and states it was released by Warner Bros. Television. Other pieces contain production numbers directly in the photographic image.
Also included are photographs that appear more candid/personal in nature alongside the film and publicity material, making this an especially interesting assembled collection rather than simply a group of identical modern publicity prints.
Included:
51 individual vintage photographs / photographic and promotional pieces
Vintage album shown in the photographs
Tarzan and Johnny Weissmuller film-related imagery
Publicity/studio-style stills
Candid and family-related imagery
Jungle Jim material
Tarzan promotional artwork/images
Captioned and numbered pieces
Important: We have not independently authenticated or precisely dated every individual photograph in this collection. Because the pieces vary in format and origin, no claim is being made that every photograph is an original-release studio still from the year of the film depicted. They are being offered as a vintage collection exactly as found and shown.
Some individual pieces display markings and captions that may help collectors further identify and date them.
Please examine all listing photographs carefully. They form an important part of the description and show the exact 51-piece collection the buyer will receive.
The collection will be carefully packed for shipment with particular attention given to protecting the photographs and album.
