Japanese Vintage Shigaraki Ware Footed Ikebana Vase – Blue Studio Pottery
A striking Japanese Shigaraki ware ikebana vase with a sculptural, architectural form and four integrated feet.
The rounded body is framed by two raised front sections, creating a deep, asymmetrical opening suitable for expressive ikebana and contemporary floral arrangements. Its distinctive silhouette has a strong Japanese modernist character and complements Mid-Century Modern, Japandi, and minimalist interiors.
The surface is finished in layered shades of deep blue, turquoise, and blue-green. Subtle variations in the glaze and the exposed warm-toned clay along the edges and feet emphasize its handcrafted construction.
The original label on the front reads “Shigaraki Ware – Handmade” in Japanese. An impressed potter’s mark is also present on the underside.
Although its sculptural design has a Mid-Century Modern aesthetic, the precise date of production and the individual maker have not been identified.
It can be used as an ikebana vessel, a decorative studio pottery object, or an architectural accent for a living room, entryway, office, or display shelf.

The item is in good vintage condition overall. There are no cracks, chips, or other significant damage.
