Firstappearing in the controversial weekly British anthology comic, Action (1976) publishedby IPC Magazines, Hook Jaw was createdby Pat Mills, Ken Armstrong, Ramon Sola as a cash-in to the world-famous Jaws 1975movie. The flagship title of the comic was originally scripted by Ken Armstrongand drawn by Ramon Sola. Hook Jaw is a Great White Shark and the hero of theseries, even though he spends most of his time eating most of the human cast ofcharacters. The name Hook Jaw comes from the gaff hook stuck in the shark\'s jawafter some fisherman tried to catch the creature shortly before being eaten byit. Watch Out!! … Hook Jaw eats corrupt humans, criminals, and those seeking toexploit the seas, as well as anyone else unlucky enough to get near his sharpgreat white teeth!!

Story (Spoilers!)
In issue #1A, Studying sharks off thecoast of Somalia would seem hazardous at the best of times, but a group ofmarine scientists now find themselves caught in a war between desperate pirates,gung-ho Navy SEALs and Hook Jaw, legendary great white shark!
Next in issue #2A, In the troubled waters offSomalia, a rag-tag group of marine scientists studying a pack of female greatwhite sharks find themselves caught in a conflict between desperate pirates and gung-hoNavy SEALs fromthe US Navy. But why is the CIA so interested in the work of the scientists? Andjust how will they face up to the shadowy terror of the legendary great white –Hook Jaw,and her back of angry pack!?!
Next in issue #3A, Off the coast of Somalia,the crew of scientific vessel the Sola are tracking the great white sharksknown as the ‘Virgin Brides.’ However, scientist Laurie was abducted by Somalianpirates and the rest of the crew were picked up by the US military, and led bythe CIA operative Dow. Dow seeks the contents of a shipping container on theseabed, but all attempts to get it back have been frustrated by the sharks. Magwas enlisted to help the CIA, while her colleague Jasper’s accidental killingof ‘Virgin Bride’ Camel has apparently scared the others away. But there is abigger threat in the vicinity – the near – legendary Hook Jaw…
Next in issue #4A, In Somalian waters trackinga group of great white sharks, the crew of scientific vessel the Solaencountered peril. One of their number, Laurie was abducted by Somalianpirates, while the others were taken into custody by the US military and CIA,who seek something hidden on the ocean bed. However, one of the scientistsJasper, has alerted environmental groups and the media to the situation. A planhas been formed to send Jasper, wearing a wire to deliver Laurie’s ransom,alongside his colleague Mag, and disguised Navy SEAL Clint and CIA operativeDow. But the threat of legendary great white Hook Jaw always looms under thesurface…
Finally in issue #5A, Tracking a group ofgreat white sharks off the coast of Somalia, the crew of the scientific vesselthe Sola soon entered grave danger. Two of their number - Laurie and Jasper - havebeen killed, while scientist Mag, Navy SEAL Klay and CIA operative Dow werecaptured by the pirates led by Abdukadir, although Klay has escaped. The CIAseek the contents of a shipping container stolen by Abdukadir’s pirate fatherAyub, but no one knows its whereabouts. The race is one to find container andits valuable contents, but any attempts to find it will involve running thegauntlet of deadly sharks, not least the legendary Hook Jaw!
