HAPPY HALLOWEEN, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS, DAY OF THE DEAD, ALL SAINTS DAY! How about the best listing for a trading card that I can think of for this season?
I guess this can easily be described as the first appearance of WOLFMAN played by LON CHANEY JR published on a numbered trading card?
After the release of the 1943 film, Frankenstein meets the Wolfman, an unknown artist at the time in Spain created hand drawn baseball card size pictures of 144 different scenes from that movie.
That unknown artist, Manuel Gutiérrez Garulo or simply "Gutmaga" had this amazing creation published!!!
In 1946, Editorial FEHR moved forward with publishing these 144 sequentially numbered cards into a set of trading cards as well as producing a real authentic copyrighted collectors album to glue them into! Only a handful of these extraordinary and exceptionally scarce completed albums have ever survived over the last 80 years!
Almost more miraculous is the clean removal of some of the key scenes that picture Frankenstein and the Wolfman (for the very FIRST TIME) intact with very little damage!
This is one! A 1946 first appearance rookie card of the iconic FRANKENSTEIN! It is card number #105. It has some small pieces of the corner missing and a tear. It is a bit dirty too! These are small paper cards, approximately 2.8" horizontal and 2.25" in height. Please look at pictures closely for the damage.
You will receive the EXACT 100% guaranteed authentic 1946 relic that is pictured. Please ask any questions you may have before offerding and I will be glad to answer them promptly.
I also have The Complete 1946 "FRANKENSTEIN EL HOMBRE LOBO" collector album from Editorial FEHR listed right now on ! Rarely seen or offered!
This is a scary good deal on a creepy 80 year old spooky cool collectible!
In the 1943 movie, Wolfman was played by Lon Chaney Jr. and Frankenstein was played by Bela Lugosi.
