These are CLASSIC & VINTAGE NEW, old factory stock, Never used, never sold to the public.
Items offered and in EXCELLENT, fully serviceable condition, as the day they were made.
Some however were facotry overuns or 2nd choice, often for just a misplaced stitch, or slightly wrong color match to standard. There may also be some very minor marks from storage and handling.

has been a holster maker for Since the 1950\'s. A former La Mesa, California
Police Officer and later a San Diego County Deputy Sheriff,
Don always had abent towards law enforcement equipment.

are well known throughout the West.
Don, a more unassuming and less flamboyant type,
started his holster business in La Mesa, California. It sprung from his hobby ofmaking holsters while in the Navy in the early 1950s. He opened a \"garage\" shop
during his next 7 years while serving in the local
police departmentsLater he devoted his full time to his business and moved to Miami, Oklahoma where he operated out of a 10 acre, 25,000 square foot building.
He perfected the rugged rigs of his day, and created new styles
and developed new ideas as the company grew.He worked at various times with the likes
of ELMER KEITH , BILL JORDAN and other
famous shootists of the old days in holster designs and patents.
The biggest footnote in Holster History for the Don Hume Company would
probably be the developmentand marketing of the BILL JORDAN BORDER PATROL design, and having it overseen by Bill himself, a personal friend of Don Hume.Hume continues today with fine products and great customer service. You can find them on line.

Under contract, Hume made this Official Dress Uniform Campaign Hat, Hatband for the
US Border Patrol.
It is a top drawer quality piece. It is quality leather, premium BLACK finish. It is RIVER STYLE, 1\" wide, with true billets. The back is a smooth water resistant finish.
It has a BRASS horseshoe buckle.
It of course, works for other uniform hats, or any hat really. Just note the size.
