Grant and Lee by Major- Gen J.F.C. Fuller with the General\'s autograph
J.F.C Fuller was a Major General in the British Army but spent years studying American Military history. The book was first published in 1932 and was reprinted during the American Civil War Centennial in 1957. Fuller started out to prove that Robert E. Lee was the greatest among all American generals. By the time he finished studying Grant and Lee he came up with a different conclusion. The New York Times said, \"General Fuller contributes a vigorously written and often original military critique...an unusually interesting study.\"
Fuller wrote a number of military histories and is credited a created the first tank warfare strategy outline in a1926 work.
The original owner of this book wrote to Fuller asking for his autograph. Fuller complied and his handwritten and autograph in included in the book.
