Description

Cover by E. C. Stoner. Stories and art by Roy Crane, Bob Jenney, Al McWilliams, Victor Bloom, Wilson Starbuck, Clyde Lewis, Erwin Hess, E. C. Stoner, and John Coleman Burroughs. The Funnies presented reprints of classic comic strips, including Roy Crane's influential Captain Easy, alongside original material. John Carter and Dejah Thoris go to the North Pole of Mars, where the magnetic Guardian of the North destroys their airship. Then Carter must rescue Dejah Thoris from being sacrificed to a false god. John Carter art by John Coleman Burroughs, son of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Phantasmo's locket grants his sidekick Whizzer the powers of Phantasmo, but when Whizzer loses the locket, gangsters get the upper hand.
