Franklin Mint Guardians of the World Crystal Ball Bronze Sculpture Steven Lord
This impressive Franklin Mint "Guardians of the World" Crystal Ball Bronze Sculpture, designed by Steven D. Lord, serves as a symbolic tribute to global wildlife conservation. Presented by Conservation International, this detailed cold-cast bronze (poly-chrome finish) features an array of intricately sculpted animals from land, sea, and sky—including bald eagle (soaring overhead), lion, elephant, giraffe, gorilla, bear, wolf, tiger, antelope/gazelle, puma, sea otter, dolphin, whale, and shark—cradling a large removable clear crystal/glass orb. Mounted on a wooden base with waves and marine elements, it's a dramatic statement piece blending art and environmental awareness.
The base plaque reads "Guardian of the World Crystal Ball" by Harmony Ball (likely a variant or misread; core design matches Franklin Mint's iconic version). Made in China sticker present. In excellent vintage condition—no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs visible on bronze or crystal ball; minor light wear/scratches commensurate with age/display. Crystal orb is clear and unscratched; heavy, substantial piece (approx. 13–15 lbs total).
