OverviewThis Real Photo Postcard features a side view of the historic ferry Klickitat. Originally built in 1927 as the Stockton for service in San Francisco Bay, she was acquired by Washington State Ferries and renamed the Klickitat in 1947. She was one of the iconic "Steel Electric" class ferries that served the Puget Sound for over 80 years. This image, captured by photographer Johnston (signed in the corner), shows the vessel underway, likely on one of its regular routes such as the Port Townsend-Keystone run.
