Extremely Rare 9\" Hummel HEAVENLY PROTECTION #88/1 TMK-1 Double Crown Mark:
$1250.00

Extremely Rare Hummel HEAVENLY PROTECTION #88/1 TMK-1 Double Crown Mark Approx. 9\" Figurine. The first Hummel mark on the porcelain figurines. This piece dates from 1934-1945, based on the Ai explanation below. Please look at all photos for condition. I am not an expert in porcelain figurines, but in my opinion, the item is in very good, used conditon for it\'s age, but please look at all photos for condition and judge for yourself. I have added a photo of the Angel\'s left finger tips. I do not feel that the finger tips have been damaged/or broken, but overall may need a professional cleaning . The piece has no visible cracks, crazing, or any other noticeable damage, but please ask questions before offerding. I have priced this item considering the figurine\'s rarity, physical appearance (for it\'s age) and other very rare porcelain comparable pieces. A great addition or gift to any Hummel collector! I have over 3600, 100% positive responses. offer with confidence! FREE SHIPPING ! ! ! USA buyers only please.
Per Ai: The Double Crown mark is a rare variation of the first TMK-1 Crown Mark (used by Goebel from 1934 to 1950) that occurs when the crown trademark is both incised and stamped on the bottom of the same M.I. Hummel figurine.Key Details of the Double Crown Mark
  • Trademark Period: TMK-1 (Full Crown / Crown-WG), active from 1934/1935 through 1950.
  • What it Looks Like: The Goebel \"wide crown\" with the letters WG (for founder Wilhelm Goebel) appears twice on the base—typically one version carved/pressed into the clay (incised) and another applied in ink or paint (stamped).
  • Timeline: Most double crown pieces date from before or during World War II (typically produced between 1935 and 1945), making them exceptionally early and valuable.
  • Material: The very earliest TMK-1 pieces (especially pre-WWII) were sometimes crafted from porcelain rather than the earthenware used later, as WWII wartime restrictions shifted Goebel\'s porcelain resources elsewhere.
