Original early 1900s mounted photograph depicting a large school group posed outside a school building, with multiple oil derricks visible in the background—an evocative snapshot from the early Texas oil boom era. The presence of active derricks behind a community school makes this a particularly compelling piece of regional and industrial history.

The photograph is mounted on its original brown card mount, measuring approximately 8 × 10 inches, with the image area approximately 5 × 7 inches. There is a small section of image loss along the right edge, visible in the photos, consistent with age and early handling. The mount remains firm and sturdy, with no loose layers, and the image is otherwise clear and well preserved for its age.
