DESCRIPTION:
EARLY Vintage HOSTESS CUP CAKES Metal Store Display Rack Stand Advertising RARE! Expect this piece to have some typical wear from age and storage. There are spots of paint loss but nothing too harsh or major with the letter graphics still nicely intact. Blue & cream white color. Measurements shown in the photos, approx. 12" long x 11" wide. Reads 'Guaranteed Fresh - 2 For 5c'. Hostess became a company in 1919 and started by selling cupcakes as their specialty. Very few of these remain, and the exact date is not known, but they were sold at this price in the 1920s and 1930s from my research - so that era seems right. Displays very well and is a fantastic piece of EARLY Hostess advertising!
